             MARIA FERNANDA O MORLA

Maria Fernanda O. Morla is a Colombian art director, creative producer, and multidisciplinary designer based in New York. Her practice spans film, television, music videos, commercial productions, digital media, branding, set design, and interiors. With a background rooted in architecture and design, Maria brings a refined visual language and strategic sensibility to every project she leads.

 

She studied Architecture and Design in her native Colombia and earned a Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the New York School of Interior Design. She has also completed advanced studies in prop and fashion styling, as well as color and composition, at Parsons and the School of Visual Arts.

 

Maria’s creative direction and production design work has supported clients such as ZARA, Dove, Inditex, Curology, Carter’s, Complex Music, Warner Music, Pigeons & Planes, ONErpm, Kidz Bop, Tapestry, Coach, Kate Spade, Philip Morris, Kenwood, Chivas Regal, Master Card, Lemme by Journey Kardashian, Nick Jr., Condé Nast, Silvia Tcherassi, Snapchat Inc., Amazon, Sharp Entertainment, Beijing TV, CMT Network, Oechsle, Bravo TV, and the New York Public Library, among others.

In 2025, Maria was nominated for the Cannes Film Festival Immersive Competition for her role as Creative Director for  Fillos Do Vento: A Rapa, an immersive documentary and art installation exploring ancestral rituals, identity, and cultural memory.

 

As a production designer, she has also  contributed to award-winning films including the documentary Lordemani and the sci-fi feature 237NP starring Sundance award winner Kika Magallanes. Her work has been recognized internationally, earning Best Art Direction and Production Design for 237NP at K-lidoscopi International Film Festival (Spain) and Best Set Design at Logcinema Art Films (Los Angeles). She was also nominated for Best Production Design at the Utah International Film Festival.
 

She was also the artistic and creative director of 3018: Man Vs Future, a Snapchat Original Series sponsored by Intel and hosted by comedian Nore Davis.

 

In television, she worked on The Sara Show (Beijing TV), a global lifestyle interview program with a 25 million local viewership and international broadcast across 100 countries. The show featured renowned figures such as Jessica Alba, Marie Kondo, Cesar Millan, Jean-Georges, and Arianna Huffington.

 

Her background in interior design includes work with top studios such as Bosch Architecture and Josh Held Design, with notable projects including W Hotel Midtown and PHD at Dream Hotel NYC.

 

Maria is  Partner at Cinexin Studios, a New York-based production company, and co-founder  at 100 Sutton Studios, a 15,000 sq. ft. creative production facility in Brooklyn.

 

Her work continues to explore the intersection of culture, design, narrative, and space shaping experiences that are both visually striking and deeply rooted in meaning.
